8 workshops organized within the activities of the 30th Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater



The 30th edition of CIFET to host 8 workshops

As part of its activities, the 30th Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre, headed by Dr. Sameh Mahran, will host a number of workshops from September 1st to 8th.
The 30th CIFET will feature the following eight workshops in various theatrical elements:
“Character Sketching” facilitated by Luke Lehner on September 2nd and 3rd.

Applications for the workshops will be accepted via the attached links from today, Friday, August 18, until August 25.
The Committee tasked with Watching Arab Performances selected eight performances out of 87 applications to participate in the festival: Al Roba and BLACKOUT (Tunisia), Master and Slave (Bahrain),The Honest Liar, Sadiq Al-Namak, (Saudi Arabia), Ventolin of Return (Palestine), Premature List (UAE), File 12 (Iraq), and Nostalgia (Algeria).
The Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre is one of the oldest and most renowned international Arab festivals, promoting experimental theatrical performances from all over the world. It honors some world figures associated with experimental theatre. Awards are given for the best theatrical performances in various fields. On the festival’s sidelines a number of seminars specialized in theatre arts and techniques are held.
