A group of theatre artists,critics and drama professors have held a discussion around the obstacles and difficulties that a theatre artist is to face and deal with concerning theatrical production.The discussion came as a part of the daily schedule of seminars held during the 28th edition of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre.
The discussion entitled”Experimentation and the philosophy of theatrical production houses” was moderated by Dr. Hussein Harif from Iraq with the participation of Dr.karim Rashid from Sweden,Mahdy Mahfouz from Egypt and Dr.Seif El Din Al Farchichi from Tunisia.
The discussion started with the question “what are the theatre artists main problems with production houses?” To get to hear many answers and responses that varied from the lack of suport,the weak marketing criteria and the absence of a clear strategy.
