CIFET Extends the Period for Receiving Theatrical Performances Applications Until April 14, 2022

The management board of Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater (CIFET) announced extending the period for receiving theatrical performances applications for the 29th edition until April 14, 2022, in order to offer opportunities for groups which were unable to submit their files.

The 29th edition is scheduled to take place between September (1-11). Recently, Minister of Culture, Dr. Ines Abdeldayem has issued a resolution concerning reappointing Dr. Gamal Yakout as the festival’s Chairman. Furthermore, Dr. Muhammad Abd El-Rahman and artist Saeed Kabeel hold the positions of the festival’s Directors.

CIFET is a competitive festival, annually organized by the Ministry of Culture in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Moreover, the festival is regarded as a platform for communication and networking between several cultures and communities through multiple forms of theater and performing arts. Most notably, CIFET aims at presenting the latest advances in the international theater for Egyptian and Arab audiences. Additionally, the festival is considered a panorama of local and regional theater productions for benefiting specialists, festivals, and interested entities worldwide.
